BJP expels rebel candidates in Meghalaya
Party failed to register a mark in state’s assembly polls

SHILLONG, March 16 2023: The Bharatiya Janata Party has expelled three rebel leaders who contested against official nominees in Meghalaya assembly elections held on February 27 last. Party’s state President Ernest Mawrie effected the strict action in compliance with the directives of the central leaders.
“They also indulged in anti-party activities”, Mawrie alleged.
The expelled leaders are Pramod Koch who contested at Dalu constituency, Micheal Kharsyntiew in North Shillong and Daniel Wahlang from Mawsynram constituency in Meghalaya.
Pramod Koch is Member (MDC) in the Garo Hills Autonomous District Council.
