Binit wins Bronze in international para swimming contest

AGARTALA, May 17, 2024: Binit Roy, a challenged boy, brought glory to Tripura by winning Bronze Medal in the ongoing Citi Para Swimming World Series Championship being held at Singapore. He made the achievement in 100 meters free style swimming Friday.
Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha congratulated Binit on his success. He opined the swimmer made India proud.
Binit has been a student of Umakanta Academy.
Binit and another participant Samir Barman along with their coach paid a courtesy call on the Chief Minister on May 13 hours before their departure to the game venue.
Para Swimming World Series Championship going commenced on May 14 and to end on 19.
