Bihar: Thursday for withdrawal of nominations for 2nd phase

Elections slated on November 11 across 122 constituencies in 20 districts

NATIONAL, October 22, 2025: The last day for withdrawal of nominations for the second phase of the assembly election has been set for tomorrow, Thursday. Second phase of Bihar Assembly elections are slated on November 11 across 122 constituencies in 20 districts.

The election commission said that in the Mohania (Reserved) constituency, Rashtriya Janata Dal candidate Shweta Suman's nomination papers were canceled due to an invalid Scheduled Caste certificate. In the Valmikinagar Assembly constituency, Jan Suraj Party candidate Drig Narayan Prasad's nomination papers were also cancelled.

Polling will take place in districts of Sitamarhi, Sheohar, Madhubani, East Champaran, West Champaran, Shahabad, Magadh, Seemanchal, Bhagalpur, Banka, Jamui and Supaul.
