Bangladesh polls: EC enforces major reshuffle in police force

338 OCs transferred to ensure transparent national polls on Jan 7

AGARTALA, December 07 2023:  Bangladesh election commission Thursday night announced the government has replaced Office-In-Charge or OCs of 338 police stations in compliance with its instructions. The measure was aimed at ensuring free and fair parliamentary elections scheduled for January 7 next.

The station chiefs have been shifted to different districts of election constituencies. The transfer made throughout the country, officials said.
