Amit Shah reviews security in Arunachal Pradesh
Centre reduced terrorist activities by 89% in the northeast

ITANAGAR, May 22 2022: Union Home Minister Amit Shah Sunday said that the BJP led government at the centre has reduced extremist problem in northeast India by 89 percent. He asserted that some 9,600 extremists have eschewed path of insurgency and joined mainstream of life over the last three years.
The home minister was speaking at a programme in Arunachal Pradesh where he is currently on a visit. Shah further said that the central government aimed to establish peace in the region though peace resolutions.
Home Minister Amit Shah also held a detail review meeting on security and development works in the bordering state during a meeting with all the ‘stakeholders’ at Nimsai, headquarters of Nimsai district.
