Agartala Rajdhani Express to run through different routes

MALIGAON, January 04 2024: The Tejas Rajdhani Express, which runs between Agartala and Anand Vihar Terminal, will be changing its route starting from January 15. The new route will go through Malda Town, Bhagalpur Jn and Jamalpur Jn via Patna Jn.
This change in route has been a long-awaited demand from the people of West Bengal and Bihar, who previously did not have the opportunity to travel on the Rajdhani Express trains. As a result of this route diversion, there will be changes in the train's timings and total journey time.
Train no 20501 (Agartala-Anand Vihar Terminal) will depart from Agartala Monday, January 15 at 3:10 p.m. and arrive at Anand Vihar Terminal in Delhi Wednesday at 10:50 a.m. Similarly, train no 20502 (Anand Vihar Terminal - Agartala) will depart from Anand Vihar Terminal in Delhi Wednesday at 7:50 a.m. and arrive at Agartala in Tripura Friday at 3:40 p.m.
The train will now pass through important stations in West Bengal and Bihar, such as Malda Town, Bhagalpur, and Jamalpur, providing better connectivity between Tripura, Assam, West Bengal, Bihar and the capital city of our nation. This will also have a positive impact on the socio-economic conditions of the newly connected areas.
