Speakers urged the students to stay away from drug menace

REGIONAL, April 17, 2025: Deputy Chief Minister of Nagaland Yanthungo Patton graced the Valedictory Programme of the 8th Eastern Naga Students’ Federation Cultural Fiesta-cum-General Conference 2025 as the Chief Guest on April 17 2024 at Tuensang.
Speaking at the Valedictory Function, he said he was happy to be a part of this function where the future leaders of Nagaland are gathered. He added that the true strength of the people lies in unity and the present Naga society being fragmented with different groups hampers the peace and development of the Nagas.
Y Patton urged the student community to play a positive role in unifying the Nagas.
Honored Guest Imtichoba MLA, in his address, appreciated the pioneers of the ENSF for their dedication towards the welfare of the students of Eastern Nagas. He urged the students to stay away from drugs and look forward to moving on with the change of time, and not solely depending on government jobs to make ends meet.
Other highlights of the function were a Welcome Address by Sepikyu Sangtam, VP ENSF, a Folk Fusion performance from Khiamniungan Students' Union, and a Short Speech from Er. Chingmak, General Secretary, ENGOA, Special Presentation from Eastern Nagaland Sumy Students Union, and Molo Phom, Assistant General Secretary, ENSF, also shared a few words.
The Deputy Chief Minister was accompanied by Minister of Housing and Mechanical, P. Bashangmongba Chang, Advisor for Treasuries & Accounts and Art & Culture, K Konngam Konyak, Advisor for Youth Resources & Sports, S Keoshu Yimchunger, Advisor for Prison, Printing & Stationery, Er Kropol Vitsu, Advisor to Information Technology & Communication, Economics & Statistics, Evaluation, Sethrongkyu, and Member of the Legislative Assembly, Benei M Lamthiu.
