NATIONAL, June 05, 2025: Aadhaar number holders executed over 211 crore authentication transactions in May 2025 bringing the total to over 15,223 crore since inception. This growth demonstrates the effectiveness of Aadhaar-based authentication in welfare delivery and facilitating voluntary service, officials connected with the operation said Thursday.

The growing number of authentication transactions highlights the growth of the digital economy in the country. AI/ML-based Aadhaar Face Authentication solutions of UIDAI also saw consistent growth with 15.49 crore face authentication transactions recorded in May.

Over 100 entities, including government ministries, financial institutions, oil marketing companies and telecom service providers are using face authentication for smooth service delivery. Aadhaar e-KYC service continues to improve customer experience and ease of doing business in various sectors.
