Tharoor led team meets US VP JD Vance in Washington DC
Counter-terrorism efforts and technological cooperation discussed

NATIONAL, June 05, 2025: A multi-party Indian parliamentarian delegation led by Congress MP Shashi Tharoor met US Vice President JD Vance in Washington DC Thursday and had "comprehensive" discussions on critical issues such as counter-terrorism efforts and enhancing technological cooperation.
The Indian Embassy in the US stated that the conversation focused on strengthening the India-US partnership, including cooperation in the counter-terrorism domain. India's former ambassador to the US, Taranjit Sandhu, said they had "an excellent, comprehensive, constructive & productive interaction."
This particular delegation has travelled to Guyana, Panama, Colombia and Brazil before arriving in Washington for the final leg of the tour to convey India's stance against terrorism following the Pahalgam terror attack and India’s military response against Pakistan.
