16th Finance Commission team visits industrial estates

Engaged in discussions with management teams to gain insights

AGARTALA, February 01, 2025: The 16th Finance Commission led by Chairman Dr Arvind Panagariya conducted an official visit to the Bodhjungnagar and RK Nagar Industrial Estates near Agartala. During the visit, the delegation team toured Dharampal Satyapal Limited at Bodhjungnagar Industrial Estate, where they observed the production of Heat Resistant Latex Rubber Thread.

They also held discussions with the management to gain a better understanding of their operations and their contributions to the region's industrial growth. The team also visited Northeast Veneer and Plywood LLP, a manufacturer of shuttering plywood from Rubber wood and Mutha Industries Pvt. Limited, which produces various products from Bamboo in RK Nagar Industrial Estate.

They engaged in discussions with the respective management teams to gain insights into their business activities, challenges, and future plans. The visit was accompanied by Nabadal Banik, Chairman of Tripura Industrial Development Corporation Limited, Kiran Gitte, Secretary of the Industries & Commerce Department and Vishwasree B, Director of the Industries & Commerce Department.
