REGIONAL, March 01, 2025: The 10th edition of the NESOJ Sports Meet 2025 concluded amid much enthusiasm at Hardaspur Ground, Lovely Professional University (LPU), Punjab, marking yet another milestone in fostering sportsmanship, teamwork, and excellence. The event brought together students from all eight North Eastern states, fostering sportsmanship, unity and cultural pride showcasing their skills in a variety of sports disciplines.
The grand sporting event, organised by the North-East Students' Organisation Jalandhar (NESOJ), featured intense competitions in track and field, Football, Volleyball, Basketball, Badminton Athletics (100m, 200m, relay races, long jump) Tug of War and Chess (New Addition). The tournament witnessed a record turnout of participants and spectators, reinforcing the spirit of unity and healthy competition. 
This year, teams representing Arunachal Pradesh (ABOTANI), Assam (The Rhinos), Manipur (Sangai), Meghalaya (Clouded Leopard), Mizoram (Zohnahthlak), Nagaland (Head Hunters), Tripura (THANSA) and Sikkim (Shangri-La Yeti’s), competed across multiple sporting disciplines
The closing ceremony was graced by esteemed dignitaries, including prominent sports personalities, LPU officials and NESOJ representatives, who congratulated the participants for their dedication and sportsmanship. Guest of Honor Dr Jaspal Singh Sandhu, Vice Chancellor, Lovely Professional University lauded the efforts of the organizing committee and emphasized the role of sports in shaping youth for a brighter future.
The Valedictory & Closing Ceremony of the 10th NESOJ Sports Meet 2025 was held on 25th February 2025, marking the successful conclusion of the event. Archita Dutta, the President of NESOJ, expressed pride in the event’s success, stating, “The NESOJ Sports Meet has become a premier platform for young athletes to exhibit their talents and foster camaraderie. This year’s edition has set new benchmarks in terms of participation and enthusiasm, and we look forward to continuing this tradition in the years to come.”
