Union Minister hands 133 youth jobs in Rozgar Mela

AGARTALA: A job fair was organised Saturday at the Frontier Headquarters of the Border Security Force of Tripura at its frontier headquarters in Shalbagan, Agartala, as part of the 18th Rozgar Mela held nationwide. The event, presided over by Union Minister of State for Coal and Mines Satish Chandra Dubey saw distribution of appointment letters to 174 candidates, symbolizing their hard work and commitment.

Minister Dubey encouraged the youth to explore careers in uniformed services to aid in national development and stressed the importance of women's empowerment as underscored by the Prime Minister.

Among the newly appointed, 133 are male and 41 female, filling positions across various forces - 99 in the BSF, 41 in the CRPF, 20 in the ITBP, nine in the Assam Rifles and five in the SSB.

Minister Dubey congratulated the guardians of the recruits and highlighted that these roles should be seen as opportunities for national service rather than mere employment. He also articulated that the job fair serves not just to distribute appointment letters, but as a critical channel for realising the aspirations of the youth and contributing to a self-reliant India.

BSF Tripura Frontier IG Alok Kumar Chakraborty also attended the event. He congratulated the new recruits in his remarks.
