"Tlaizawng Paradise" festival inaugurated at Tuivai Bridge

REGIONAL: The "Tlaizawng Paradise" festival, inaugurated at Tuivai Bridge Tuesday by Lalbiakzama, Speaker of the Mizoram Legislative Assembly, aims to enhance tourism in the Phuaibuang area. Graced by officials and community leaders, the festival debuted a "Grand Angling Competition" with around 600 participants.
Speaker Lalbiakzama highlighted the event’s potential to showcase the region’s natural beauty, while Tourism Minister Lalnghinglova Hmar expressed hopes for economic benefits to local communities.
Over two days, the festival features adventure tourism activities including cave and mountain explorations, local handicrafts for sale and cultural performances. It focuses on leveraging the area's natural resources to attract visitors and boost tourism-related economic growth.
