Stage set for Silver Jubilee celebrations of NIRT
KOTTAYAM: The Silver Jubilee celebrations of the National Institute for Rubber Training (NIRT) will be inaugurated by George Kurian, Union Minister of State for Minority Affairs, Fisheries, Animal Husbandry & Dairying at Hevea Hall, Rubber Research Institute of India, Puthuppally, Kottayam on January 9. K Francis George MP will chair the meeting and Chandi Oommen MLA will address the gathering.
The inaugural programme will feature the unveiling of a commemorative monument at NIRT, honouring of former Directors of NIRT, recognition of PGDRPM and CRPM students, distribution of prizes to the winners of the competitions held in connection with the Diamond Jubilee celebrations of the Rubber magazine, launch of the Silver Jubilee souvenir, release of tutorial videos to the stakeholders, release of the Silver Jubilee logo and signing of MoU between Rubber Board & LRD, Government of Nagaland.
The event will be followed by a panel discussion and an exhibition at NIRT.
