Art competition on climate change and green deeds in Agartala
Climate change awareness drive linked to the North East Integration Rally 2026
AGARTALA: An Art Competition focusing on the theme Climate Change and Green Deed was held on Sunday at Gitamandir, Masterpara, Agartala as part of a wider climate change awareness drive linked to the North East Integration Rally 2026.
The programme was organised by the Tripura Ham Radio Club, Ham Operator, an organisation of the Disaster Awareness Society in collaboration with the Knowledge Resource Centre Foundation (KRC Foundation).
The event took place from 10 am to 11 am and saw participation from young artists who used creative expression to highlight environmental responsibility, sustainability, and the urgent challenges posed by climate change.
The competition formed a part of the Climate Change Awareness Campaign of the North East Integration Rally 2026, which carries the message of Peace, Progress, and Prosperity across the region. Through art, participants conveyed the importance of green deeds and individual action in addressing environmental degradation.
The organisers said such initiatives aim to build awareness at the community level and encourage meaningful engagement, especially among the younger generation, on climate action and environmental stewardship across the North East.
