NEW DELHI: Dr Jitendra Singh, Union Minister of State for PMO, hosted a dinner and interaction for a youth contingent from Jammu and Kashmir, and Ladakh at his residence. The group, comprising 52 youths from Jammu and Kashmir and 31 from Ladakh, participated in the National Youth Festival - Viksit Bharat Young Leaders’ Dialogue 2026, organised by MY Bharat and the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports in New Delhi from January 10 to 12.
During the meeting, Dr Singh engaged with each participant to understand their backgrounds and aspirations, discussing their involvement in the Viksit Bharat Challenge Track and the Cultural and Innovation Track of the event. He stressed that this national platform is crucial for youth to showcase their ideas and creativity, aligning with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of youth as active stakeholders in India’s development journey towards 2047.
Dr Singh underscored the role of youth in fostering national integration, urging participants to engage with peers from diverse backgrounds and contribute youth-led solutions to innovation, governance and social development. He expressed confidence that the young representatives from Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh would serve as ambassadors of positive change, enhancing the spirit of Ek Bharat - Shreshtha Bharat, and the transformative objective of Viksit Bharat during the festival.
