CM to flag off first Interceptor Vehicle of traffic police

AGARTALA, October 18 2020: Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb will flag off first Interceptor Vehicle of the Traffic Police tomorrow. The flagging off programme has been arranged at premises of his official residence.

Officials said the Interceptor Vehicle has been bought under modernisation programme of state police.

The vehicle is equipped with sophisticated gadgets like high resolution cameras and other features to record speeding of vehicles as well as other violation of traffic rules.

It is expected to have a breath analyser to check drunken driving. Major cities in India have already pressed Interceptor Vehicle into service.
