BJYM holds massive rally in Agartala

AGARTALA, October 17 2020: The Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM), the youth wing of the BJP, held a massive rally here Saturday apparently as a counter show of strength in wake of routine protests by opposition CPI(M) and Congress parties as well as their fronts.

It pressed demands like fresh probe into murder incidents occurred during erstwhile CPI(M) regime. BJYM leaders alleged that numerous political activists of opposition parties besides ordinary persons were brutally killed during long rule of CPI(M) in the state.

They alleged that the cases were either not registered or investigated, and the killers were not placed behind the bars.

State’s ruling BJP in its election pledge promised to open such cases and provide justice to families of the victims.

After the rally a BJYM delegation met top brass of police and submitted a memorandum to re-investigate such cases and complete prosecution.
