REGIONAL, November 14, 2024: The XL Nagaland Police Duty-Cum-Sports Meet 2024 got underway at Chumukedima Police Complex Thursday. Governor La Ganesan graced the Meet that is aimed at highlighting values crucial to law enforcement such as integrity, teamwork and resilience.
The Governor acknowledged the balance between duty and recreation, highlighting the importance of these sporting events in the holistic development of officers. The event also paid tribute to the families and loved ones of police personnel recognising their sacrifices as the foundation of a strong and humane police force.
The event, which includes athletic events like track and field, volleyball and team-building activities, is expected to foster lasting bonds among police units and create memories and experiences that transcend the competitive arena. Robin Sharma, DGP Nagaland, termed the sports meet as a celebration of the courage, strength and dedication of each member of the Nagaland Police.
