World Water Day with Commitment to Clean Water

Provided clean drinking water for hundreds of people

REGIONAL, March 24, 2025: Cairn Oil & Gas is enhancing clean water accessibility in rural Assam by installing seven tubewells in Pas Chamua village of Naginijan. This has provided clean drinking water for hundreds of people and has also equipped two local public offices with Reverse Osmosis (RO) purifiers for nearly 500 individuals who visit these offices for public services.

The primary water source in Pas Chamua village was an open pond, which was highly prone to contamination, leading to health issues. The installation of tubewells has improved access to clean water, safeguarding the community's health and well-being.

The Village Development Committee appreciates Cairn's efforts, stating that the team took the time to understand their challenges and provided effective solutions. Cairn's commitment to uplifting communities and ensuring basic necessities like safe water is reflected in its sustainable, community-driven solutions.
