UPDF activist shot dead in Khagrachhari

AGARTALA, January 11, 2020: Unidentified assailants shot dead an activist of the United People's Democratic Front (UPDF) in Khagrachhari district in Bangladesh’s Chittagong Hill Tracts.

The fatal attack occurred around 10 pm on Friday in the Panchhari Upazila's Moratila area, Bangladesh police said.

The deceased has been identified as Mahendra Tripura.

Rival group of PCJSS was being blamed for latest killing.

Police added that a 9mm pistol which was used in the murder found lying at the crime scene.
