Two-week regional badminton coaching camp for girls opened

The camp is part of the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao (BBBP) scheme

REGIONAL, June 23, 2025: A two-week regional badminton coaching camp for girls under the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao (BBBP) initiative has commenced at the Indoor Badminton Stadium, Thegabakha, Kohima Monday.

The inaugural programme was graced by EAC Kohima, Ane Khieya, as the special guest.

Declaring the camp open, Khieya highlighted that the initiative under BBBP is designed to educate and empower girl children, and the badminton camp serves as a platform to help young girls enhance their skills and realize their full potential. She encouraged the participants to make the most of the opportunity, which is fully sponsored under the BBBP scheme, and to become an inspiration for other girls in the community.

A total of 30 girls from both government and private schools are participating in the camp.
