Tripura CM hails union budget for the financial year 2024-25

AGARTALA, July 23, 3034: Tripura Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha stated that the union budget for the financial year 2024-25 presented in the Lok Sabha Tuesday is a comprehensive budget aimed at uplifting the poor, youth, farmers and Nari Shakti. He expressed his gratitude to Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman and Prime Minister Narendra Modi for crafting an inclusive budget that focuses on the overall development of these groups.
Dr Saha highlighted the budget's emphasis on infrastructure and skill development, as well as its focus on employment. He also hailed the budget as a visionary and inclusive plan for the development of the country.
Chief Minister said this budget is unprecedented and will serve as a guiding force in achieving a 5-trillion economy in India. He believes that it will play a crucial role in realizing the dream of a developed India and promoting inclusive growth.
The budget has allocated Rs 3 lakh crore for schemes benefiting women and girls, as well as announced projects for water supply, sewerage and solid waste management in 100 major cities. Rs. 2.66 lakh crore has been allocated for rural development including the establishment of more than 100 branches of Indian Post Payment Banks in the Northeast region.
