AGARTALA, March 21, 2025: Tripura Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha said that the budget announced for next fiscal is an inclusive budget aimed at overall development of the state. His remarks referred to Finance Minister Pranajit Singha Roy presenting the budget for the 2025-26 Financial Year on the opening day of the current session of the state assembly on Friday.
The Chief Minister conveyed his gratitude highlighting that the budget aligns with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas and Sabka Vishwas.
"I want to congratulate (Finance Minister) him. The budget allocation exceeds Rs 32,000 crore. "I am hopeful that the deficit of around Rs 429 crore will be managed. "Several remarkable schemes have been introduced, such as the Bharat Mata Canteen, an entertainment center for the intellectually disabled, Mukhyamantri Kanya Bibaha Yojana, Mukhyamantri Balika Samriddhi Yojana, a Center for Computer-Based Exams, and the Tripura Competitive Examination Center," he said.
Dr Saha further said that overall, this budget is exceptional, unlike any seen before, and he hopes that everyone will support it.
"We have also announced a 3% DA and DR hike for government employees and pensioners," he added.
Former Chief Minister and Lok Saba MP Biplab Kumar Deb also hailed the budget.
