PM releases first installment of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana- G
With 32 crore digitally transferred to beneficiaries' bank accounts

NATIONAL, September 15, 2024: Prime Minister Modi Sunday released the first installment of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana- Gramin in Jharkhand with 32 crore digitally transferred to beneficiaries' bank accounts. 32,000 houses were distributed and a housewarming ceremony was held for 46 thousand beneficiaries.
Modi announced that two crore additional houses will be constructed in the next five years, prioritizing Tribal, Deprived, Dalit, Divyang and Women. The PM Awas Yojana will not only provide housing but also increase economic activities and job opportunities in the affected areas.
