No withdrawal of candidature for Lok Sabha poll in Nagaland

KOHIMA, March 30, 2024: The deadline for withdrawing candidates for the lone Lok Sabha seat in Nagaland ended on Saturday with all candidates choosing to remain in the fray. Returning Officer Sushil Kumar Patel informed there are now three confirmed candidates in the running.
These include Dr Chumben Murry from the NDPP, S Supongmeren Jamir from the INC and independent candidate Hayithung Tungoe Lotha.
The polling in Nagaland will take place on April 19, with the vote counting scheduled for June 4, 2024.
