AGARTALA, January 23, 2025: “Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, the heroic son of India, continues to inspire the youth and society," stated Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha during his speech at the Netaji Subhas Vidyaniketan in Agartala on the occasion of Bose's 129th birth anniversary Thursday. The Chief Minister praised Bose for his unwavering dedication to India's freedom struggle and his tireless efforts towards the betterment of the country and its people.
He also painted Bose's role in founding the Forward Bloc, a political party aimed at achieving complete independence for India. Despite being imprisoned 11 times by the British authorities, Bose remained steadfast in his beliefs and ideals.
The Chief Minister also acknowledged Prime Minister Narendra Modi's efforts in taking India forward. Bose's famous quote, "You give me blood, I will give you freedom," continues to resonate with many people even today. During World War II, Bose led the Azad Hind Fauj and worked to drive the British out of India.
“His ideals, work ethic and patriotism will continue to inspire the youth and society in the future.”
The Chief Minister also commended Netaji Subhash Vidyaniketan as a prestigious school with talented students excelling in various fields such as sports and cultural activities. Despite his significant contributions, Bose has not received the recognition he deserves, added the Chief Minister.
