AGARTALA, July 05, 2024: Tripura Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha has said Friday that the importance of preserving ecological balance and issued a warning against forest robbers and destroyers.

Dr Saha stated that there is no religion in blood and there is no religion in the case of trees. He participated in the state-level mass plantation drive "5 lakh seedlings in 5 minutes" organised by the Forest Department on World Environment Day at Mohanpur north of Agartala.

The programme inspired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi's "Ek Ped (Tree), Maa Ke Naam" campaign.

Chief Minister distributed saplings among the local people after attending the state-wide main function at Taranagar of Mohanpur. Dr Saha highlighted the lessons to be learned from nature and called for more vigilant action against forest robbers.

Dr Saha was accompanied by MLA and Ministers representing assembly segments in Mohanpur.
