Japan to partner the 25th Edition of Hornbill Festival

REGIONAL, November 19, 2024: Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio and his cabinet met with Takashi Ariyoshi, Deputy Chief of Mission (DCM) and Mayumi Tsubakimoto, First Secretary of the Japanese Embassy in New Delhi Tuesday. During the meeting, it was announced that Japan will be the partner country for the upcoming 25th Edition of the Hornbill Festival.
Japan's participation will include cultural performances - capacity building and workshops on handicrafts and bamboo products. Both sides exchanged courtesies and expressed hope for further strengthening of their long-term relationship and cooperation.
Toyota, an international Japanese corporation, will attend with collaborative strategies alongside the State Government and the Task Force for Music & Arts (TAFMA). The UK, specifically Wales, will also be an additional Partner Country for the Hornbill Festival.
