Hricheeta Saikia crowned winner in Local Rockstar Season 2

THE SECOND SEASON OF RADIO GUPSHUP LOCAL ROCKSTAR, presented by Trends and driven by XUV 3XO Revex, concluded with a spectacular Grand Finale at Assam Down Town University. The event turned the spotlight on the best of Guwahati’s student talent, featuring performers from 11 colleges in a vibrant mix of music, dance, fashion, and creative arts.

The finale saw powerful judging from renowned singer Bishrut Saikia (singing category) and celebrity hairstylist Bhaskar Saikia (dance and X-Factor categories), whose guidance and encouragement elevated the competition.

Hricheeta Saikia from USTM claimed the first prize with a captivating vocal performance. The second prize went to Ishani Mudiyar from Colton University for her dynamic and expressive dance performance. The third position was secured by Nayan Bodo from Arya Vidyapeeth College, who wowed the audience with a truly unique flute beatboxing act in the X-Factor category . A special mention was given to Mrityunjai Mahanta from Hiteswar Saikia College for his impressive performance and commanding stage presence.

Adding to the glamour of the day, a fashion show presented by Trends was held as part of the finale. Daisy Das from Assam Down Town University was named the Trend Setter, winning first place. Parleen Islam from Guwahati Commerce College was announced as the first runner-up, while Himi Munni, also from Assam Down Town University, was named second runner-up.

The grand finale was a true celebration of talent, creativity, and youthful energy — a reflection of the vibrant spirit of Guwahati’s student community. With electrifying performances, celebrity judges, and unforgettable moments, Local Rockstar Season 2 cemented its place as one of the region’s most anticipated youth talent platforms.
