'Heavy to very heavy' rainfall in northeast India over next two days
Warning has also been issued for Konkan, Goa, Maharashtra and Karnataka

NATIONAL / REGIONAL, July 11, 2024: The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) predicts heavy to very heavy rainfall with isolated extremely heavy falls in Northeast India over the next two days. Heavy to very heavy rainfall is also expected over Konkan, Goa, Maharashtra and Karnataka from tomorrow.
IMD in its warning stated fairly widespread light to moderate rainfall, accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning, is also expected over Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Bihar, northeast India, Gangetic West Bengal, Jharkhand and Odisha.
Isolated very heavy rainfall is also expected in Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Bihar and Arunachal Pradesh. Fairly widespread light to moderate rainfall is also likely in Uttarakhand and Central India.
