Focus on providing quality education to students: CM
He urged the talented students to participate in politics

AGARTALA, June 17, 2025: Tripura Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha underscored the state's focus on providing quality education to students with a special emphasis on the digital education system under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's direction. He called for the development of infrastructure in schools and the 'Pariksha Pe Charcha' programme to reduce exam pressure.
The Chief Minister, who holds the Education portfolio, was speaking at the felicitation programme for meritorious students who passed the Madhyamik and Higher Secondary examinations Tuesday.
Dr Saha also called for fair competition in studies in a healthy environment and emphasised the importance of patience and diligence in real life success. He stressed the need for talented students from non-political families to participate in politics to help overcome the precarious situation in politics.
The National Education Policy 2020, launched by the Prime Minister, has been prepared based on the country's culture and tradition benefiting students.
The Chief Minister said various schools have been upgraded to English medium, and the Super 30 project has led to the achievement of 1 IIT, 3 NIT, and 3 MBBS seats in the financial year 2024-25. The Chief Minister's Merit Award has been introduced and common question papers have been introduced in schools.
"Infrastructure development in about 30 more schools has been allocated," he stated.
This year, 345 schools have achieved 100% results in secondary education, with a pass rate of 86.53%.
