Deb chairs the MBB Airport Advisory Committee meeting

AGARTALA, January 10, 2025: Former Tripura Chief Minister and MP, Lok Sabha, Biplab Kumar Deb chaired the MBB Airport Advisory Committee meeting Friday. The meeting discussed various issues related to aviation operations, connectivity, passenger services and welfare.
During the discussion, Deb criticised the previous left front governments for the state's underdevelopment and mismanagement of infrastructure. He strongly condemned the CPI(M) for neglecting Tripura for a long period of time.
MBB Airport Director Kailash Chandra Meena provided updates on operational issues and obstacles.
Deb attached importance on passenger comfort and improved services with a focus on modernising facilities and ensuring efficient usage. He also urged all aviation operators to start cargo services.
Deb addressed passenger complaints about transportation and parking at the airport and stressed the need for immediate solution. He also highlighted the need to increase domestic flight services in the northeast India, introduce new flights on busy routes, open alternative parking lanes and address checkpoints and crossings on exit roads.
The meeting was also attended by West Tripura District Magistrate Dr Vishal Kumar and Agartala Municipal Commissioner Dr Shailesh Kumar Yadav.
