Covid-19: Night curfew period extended in Tripura

AGARTALA, May 03 2021: Night curfew period has been extended in Tripura in view of alarming spike in coronavirus cases. Capital Agartala and all municipal towns of the state will see enforcement of curfew from 6 p.m. to 5 a.m. for an indefinite period.
Hitherto curfew was clamped from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. which has proved futile to break chain of virus in Tripura which has earlier reported detection of deadly double mutant coronavirus.
As part of modified restrictions the government official will function with 50 percent employees on rotation basis. Office timings reduced to pave staffs return home before enforcement of curfew. 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. will be temporary work schedule for the government offices.
The state government urged residents to stay at home and not to step out unless compelled, and maintain health protocols.
