Initiative aimed to strengthen the 3-tier Panchayat system

AGARTALA, November 21, 2024: Tripura Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha has highlighted the state government's commitment to empowering Panchayats to drive sustainable development and improve citizens' lives. He inaugurated the 'People's Plan Campaign 2024' at PRTI Hall, AD Nagar, under the theme 'Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas' Thursday.

The initiative aims to strengthen the three-tier Panchayat system making it more efficient, transparent and people-centric. Dr Saha asserted the implementation of various flagship schemes of the Central and State Governments through the three-tier Panchayat system.

The campaign, launched on Mahatma Gandhi's birthday aims to formulate development plans in rural areas, focusing on eradicating poverty, achieving zero hunger, ensuring good health and well-being, promoting gender equality, providing clean water and sanitation and encouraging the use of affordable and green energy.

He stressed the need for public representatives to have a comprehensive understanding of various flagship projects to facilitate effective implementation.
