CM inaugurates expanded facility at a community health centre
Part of state government's efforts to improve healthcare services

AGARTALA, July 09, 2024: The new hospital building of the community health centre has been constructed in Takarjala, a community inhabited by the Janjati people. This project is part of the state government's efforts to improve healthcare services for the local population.
Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha inaugurated the new building which cost approximately Rs 6.70 crores. This modern facility will play a crucial role in providing healthcare for the Takkarjala region.
After the inauguration, the Chief Minister and other officials toured the various sections of the new building. It is estimated that over 50,000 people will benefit from the launch of this new service.
It is worth mentioning that the Takarjala Social Health Center, which was established in 1963 with 10 beds. In 1977, the number of beds was increased to 30.
In addition to this, several new services have been introduced. The construction of the new building began in the 2017-18 financial year and was completed on September 30, 2023.
The total cost of the project was Rs 6 crore 70 lakh.
Chief Minister in a post in X said that in line with the vision of PM Narendra Modi “we are committed to ensuring healthcare for all, including the Janajati section. To achieve the goal, new and advanced infrastructure is being developed across the state”.
