CM Dr Saha attends World Heritage Event at New Delhi
The World Heritage Committee mandated to meet once a year

AGARTALA, July 21, 2024: Tripura Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha attended the 46th Session of the World Heritage Committee in New Delhi Sunday inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The event was organised by the Union Ministry of Culture.
This is the first time India is hosting the World Heritage Committee Meeting, which will take place at the Bharat Mandapam from July 21 to 31.
The World Heritage Committee meets once a year and is responsible for managing all matters pertaining to World Heritage and deciding on sites to be inscribed on the World Heritage list.
Union Minister for External Affairs Dr S Jaishankar, Union Minister for Culture and Tourism Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, Director General of UNESCO Audrey Azoulay and Union MoS (I/C) for Statistics and Programme Implementation Rao Inderjit Singh were also present.
Chief Minister also visited the stall of the Tripura Tourism at the exhibition centre of the event.
