Chief Minister takes holy dip at Tirtha Mukh, offers prayer
Extended greetings to people on occasion of Makar Sankranti

AGARTALA, January 14 2022: Taking cue of past years, Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb Friday early morning took holy dip at the sacred Tirtha Mukh Lake on occasion of Makar Sankranti. He performed rituals as per tradition and beliefs.
Chief Minister said he offered prayer for peace and progress of the state and its people. He however cautioned people that ‘we must follow Covid-19 appropriate behaviour’ and adhere protocols of the government to stay safe.
Deb later met Governor Satyadeo Arya at Raj Bhavan. They exchanged greetings of Makar Sankranti.
Chief Minister also penned a note of greetings in Kokborok dialect on his social media page. He wrote: Kwthar Hangrai ni Salo joto Hasteni luku rogno Khakaham yapharo tei Khulumung yapharo O Kwthar Hangrai ni Salo joto ni nukhungo Bisi borom no Kaham bai kwrwngwi tong di hinwi Khulum jao.
