CBI nabs PNB Senior Manager, private company owner
Both accused of indulging in acts of alleged bribery, financial crime

REGIONAL, June 08, 2025: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has arrested two accused including the then Senior Manager of the Punjab National Bank, Dimapur from Guwahati and Proprietor of Dimapur-based private company from Dimapur for having indulged in acts of alleged bribery.
A case was registered by the CBI against two accused on allegations that the the Senior Manager, PNB, Seiminthang Singson, had obtained an undue advantage of Rs one lakh in his bank account from the bank account of another accused Proprietor of the private company for allowing the extension of the Cash Credit Limit of Rs 20 Lakh to the accused Proprietor Sanjit Chandra Dey.
Even while the firm was accused Sanjit Chandra Dey’s company was not in the right financial health.
Both the arrested accused persons will be produced before the competent Courts at Dimapur and Guwahati respectively Saturday. The investigation is continuing.
