CAT to hold two day hearing to dispose off complaints
Central government employees can take benefit of the sittings

KOHIMA, March 25 2023: Circuit Court Sitting of the Central Administrative Tribunal (CAT) Guwahati Bench will be held at the Kohima Bench of the Gauhati High Court on March 30 and 31. The sitting will be held at Court No 4 of the Bench.
The CAT has notified for the general information of all the Central Government employees posted in Nagaland and also the employees of various organisations as well as the members of the legal fraternity of the state can take benefit the two day sittings.
It is pertinent to mention that the Central Administrative Tribunal had been established under Article 323 -A of the Constitution for adjudication of disputes and complaints with respect to recruitment and conditions of service of persons appointed to public services and posts in connection with the affairs of the Union of other authorities under the control of the Government.
The purpose of setting up CAT was to reduce the burden of various courts and to provide speedy justice to the persons covered under CAT with regard to their grievances. The Government of India has notified 215 organizations including Ministries and Departments of the Central Government, under section 14 (2) of the Administrative Tribunals Act 1985 to bring them within the jurisdiction of the Central Administrative Tribunal, from time to time.
