MUZAFFARPUR, June 17 2020 (HS): A case has been filed against eight prominent personalities of Bollywood in the court of Chief Judicial Magistrate Wednesday in connection with the suicide of Bihar born actor Sushant Singh Rajput. Alleging that it was not suicide but murder, lawyer Sudhir Ojha has accused filmmakers Karan Johar, Aditya Chopra, Sajid Nadiadwala, Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Bhushan Kumar, Ekta Kapoor, Dinesh Bijayan and actor Salman Khan.
The case filed under sections 306, 109, 504 and 506 of IPC and the court has fixed July 3 as next date of hearing.
Ojha pleaded that since Rajput belonged to Bihar and was achieving success in Bollywood this was not liked by many established film personalities and they allegedly conspired to mentally torture the emerging star which culminated in his suicide. The death has immensely hurt the feelings of not only the people of Bihar but also his fans from all over the country.
One of the four named accused Ekta Kapoor reacted on this case, explained her position and sarcastically thanked for dragging her to court.
