BSF hands over body of Bangladeshi youth killed in firing
The body of deceased youth sent over 38 hours after the incident

AGARTALA, June 02, 2025: Indian authorities Monday handed over the body of Pradeep Baidya, a Bangladeshi youth, who was killed in BSF firing during a futile smuggling attempt in Tripura’s Kailashahar in Unakoti district (Kulaura under Moulavi Bazar district in Bangladesh).
The body was handed over to Kulaura Police Station along the Chatlapur Land Port border of Kulaura Upazila in Moulvibazar.
The deceased was a resident of Dattagram village in Bangladesh’s Moulavi Bazar. Pradeep was killed in firing by the Indian Border Security Force (BSF) near Pillar No 1852 of the border in the Devipur area of Rangauti Gram Panchayat of the Irani police station in Unakoti district at around 8:30 pm last Saturday.
The body of the deceased youth was handed over 38 hours after the incident. The body of the deceased will be handed over to the family after the legal process is completed, Bangladesh media reported.
