Biplab main guest at the 'Mirpur Martyrdom Day' event
Said Prime Minister Modi is making Jammu & Kashmir developed state

AGARTALA, November 20 2022: Former Tripura Chief Minister and Rajya Sabha MP Biplab Kumar Deb graced an event in the national capital to commemorate the massacre during occupation of Mirpur city of Jammu & Kashmir in the aftermath of the partition in 1947. The raiding Pakistan army columns and collaborators killed several thousand people in the area in November of the year.
Mirpur, now known as New Mirpur City, has fallen into the territory of Pak Occupied Jammu & Kashmir (POJK).
Like previous years, the Jammu & Kashmir People’s Forum Sunday organised a remembrance event to pay tribute to the martyrs. Former Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb paid floral homage to the Memorial linked to the massacre, one of numerous mass killings occurred after the partition.
Speaking at the event Biplab Kumar Deb highlighted endeavours of the central government under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to make Jammu & Kashmir as a peaceful and developed state.
