Amit Shah says committed to building a drug-free Bharat
Lauded recent seizure of drugs amounting to a total of ₹13,000 crore

NATIONAL, October 14, 2024: Union Home Minister Amit Shah stated Monday that the government led by PM Narendra Modi is dedicated to creating a drug-free India and protecting the youth from drug abuse. He praised the Delhi Police for their recent successful drug busts, which amounted to a total of ₹13,000 crore.
In their ongoing efforts to combat drugs, the Delhi Police and Gujarat Police seized 518 kilograms of cocaine valued at ₹5,000 crore from a company in Ankleshwar. Previous raids in Mahipalpur and Ramesh Nagar resulted in the confiscation of 562 kilograms of cocaine, 40 kilograms of hydroponic marijuana and an additional 208 kilograms of cocaine all linked to the same Gujarat-based company.
In total 1,289 kilograms of cocaine and 40 kilograms of marijuana worth ₹13,000 crore were seized.
