Agartala book fair to be start from February 26

AGARTALA, February 24 2021: The 39th Agartala Book Fair is going to start from February 26 at the premises of Hapania International Fair Ground with theme ‘Amader Tripura Sresta Tripura’.
Ratan Biswas, Director, Directorate of Information and Culture, gave details of the fair. The Book Fair will continue till March 11.
At a press conference Biswas said that Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Dev will inaugurate the 39th Agartala Book Fair. The fair will run from 2.30 pm to 9.30 pm every day. Duration will be from 2 pm to 9.30 pm during holidays.
Director said there will be 162 book stalls in the Book Fair this year.
66 stalls have been allotted to different departments. Spaces have been given for theme pavilions, media centre, photo exhibition, first aid centre of the health department.
This time registration fee and stall rent were exempted in view of Covid-19 situation. During the 14 days of the fair, 10 free bus services will run from various stoppages from 1.30 pm to 9.30 pm.
Ratan Biswas appealed to book sellers and buyers to adhere Covid-19 related health protocol and advisories as a matter of precaution and safety.
