After Mizoram earthquake shakes Meghalaya

SHILLONG, June 28 2020: After Mizoram, two successive earthquakes have jolted Meghalaya state. Latest tremor in Meghalaya Sunday was of magnitude 3.9 on Richter scale.
Earlier 3.3 magnitude earthquake shook the state Friday. State officials confirmed no loss of life and damage to property reported in to successive tremors.
Mizoram last week was heavily shaken by 5.8 magnitude earthquake that caused damage to properties at several places. Prime Minister Narendra Modi had spoken to Chief Minister Zoramthanga and offered assistance from the centre.
