AGARTALA, July 21, 2024: Indian students studying in Bangladesh are currently returning to their homes in India due to the ongoing violent situation in the country. In the past two days, a total of 690 students have arrived in Tripura, with 314 students arriving Sunday.
Of the 314 students who returned Sunday, 66 are from Nepal. The Border Security Force (BSF) has made all necessary arrangements for these students, including transportation, food and healthcare services.
The BSF has stated that the current law and order situation in Bangladesh has posed security challenges. To ensure the safe return of Indian students, the Border Guards Bangladesh (BGB) is coordinating with the BSF.
However, due to the mobile internet system being down in Bangladesh, parents of stranded Indian students have been unable to communicate with their children.
The BSF Inspector General of Tripura Frontier has assured that the force is alert and prepared to handle any situation related to the border.
