2,54,511 beneficiaries availed Ayushman Bharat scheme

AGARTALA, September 30 2023: 13,40,172 Ayushman cards have been issued in Tripura till August last as large chunk of them availed medical benefits. 3,993 card holders also received treatment outside the state.

Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha gave the information while speaking at a programme here Saturday to mark five years completion of Ayushman Bharat and two years completion of Ayushman Bharat- Digital Mission.

Dr Saha hailed Prime Minister Narendra for the ambitious Ayushman Bharat scheme that “has given a new direction to ensure health security to the economically weaker sections in the country.”

Chief Minister counted that 2,54,511 beneficiaries of the state already availed medical facilities under the scheme.

He also felicitated several Ayushman Bharat- PMJAY beneficiaries and handed over awards to various hospitals, health centres and Arogya Mitras for successful implementation of the scheme.

The Ayushman Bharat Unit of South Tripura district awarded as the Best Unit in the State.
