Police arrest 3 for possession of fake Indian currency
The youths remanded in police custody to complete investigation

AGARTALA, October 27, 2024: Police in Unakoti district have Sunday arrested three youths for possession of counterfeit Indian currency in the Irani police station area of Kailashahar. Station Officer in Charge Arunadoy Saha said the police have recovered 10,500 fake rupees from the suspects.
They have filed a case against them under sections 179/180/3(5) of the BNS and have forwarded them to the Kailashahar court.
The investigation will also look into the possibility of accomplices of the detainees and will question them during their remand period.
