Cash reward for information on missing IAF flight

Guwahati, June 8, 2019: The Indian Air Force on Saturday announced a cash reward of Rs 5 lakh for information over its missing Antonov An-32 transport aircraft. The flight which disappeared before reaching destination in Arunachal Pradesh on June 3 is yet to be traced despite massive search efforts.
Antonov An-32 transport aircraft of Indian Air Force went missing after it got airborne from Jorhat air base on Monday. Eight crew and five passengers were onboard of the flight which lost contact with ground units at 1pm.
The flight was reportedly heading for Mechuka Advanced Landing Ground, located in Mechuka Valley in Arunachal Pradesh.
Fighter jets and helicopters pressed into service to locate the flight while army units on the ground in Arunachal Pradesh have also been engaged in search operation. ISRO is also supporting with satellite imageries.
Possible site of the last contact with the flight is near China border.
